The transformation of this dark, cramped, antiquated kitchen into a bright, open and up-to-date space is simply amazing! When the homeowner contacted us, we assessed the existing space to determine how it was working for them.
These “Before” images tell the true story…
The soffits and peninsula were making the ceiling feel lower and making what is really a pretty large space feel smaller.
The trash bin at the end of the peninsula was taking up floor space and was far away.
The space also had a perfectly good wall with potential to recess that was not being taken advantage of.
Hard to believe this is the same space!
The homeowner now has plenty of room for cooking with his must have large arched canopy.
Removing the peninsula made room for an island with plenty of storage.
The microwave is no longer taking up valuable countertop space.
A pull out trash cabinet was installed to the left of the sink, which gets it out of the way and puts it in a convenient location.
Relocating the closet pantry allowed us to create the large cooking area.
We created a recess in the wall to house the homeowners treasured hutch.
And, moving the hutch enabled us to move the table closer to the wall to allow space for the island.
